Happy Handcraft leather accessories are entirely made by hand. Each piece is designed and meticulously made by our local craftsmen and women, giving each piece an authentic African touch.

The painting process is highly labour intensive and is hand applied. This gives Happy Handcrafts leather accessories their unique quality, vibrancy and beauty which is impossible to achieve using mechanised painting processes.

The background colours are black, tan, red and blue while the designs are painted in either bright or natural colours. No two pieces will be the same as the arrangement of the colours within a colour scheme is entirely up to the crafts person.

We use South African vegetable tanned leather. The vegetable tanning process uses tannins found in bark, wood and other plant material.
